Business Process Management is a method of design, execution, analysis and continuous improvement of each of the processes of a company in order to guide them towards certain specific objectives. The purpose of this work is to analyze the BPM information system and its application in the savings and credit cooperatives of segment 3 of the city of Cuenca, specifically in the processes of the Compliance Unit; this through the application of research instruments to propose a methodology for implementing BPM solutions in this type of organizations. The research was of a documentary type focused on the analysis of the current situation of process management prior to the design of an improvement proposal. For this analysis, information provided by the cooperatives about the processes and the different types of BPM systems that can be included was considered. In addition, information was collected in books, scientific publications, specialized texts, academic journals, physical or digital documentation, and information from the Savings and Credit Cooperatives themselves in Ecuador. It is concluded that, due to its characteristics and functionality, the most applicable system is the Bonita Soft, due to its characteristics and benefits
