In Ecuador, the protection and promotion of the rights of children and adolescents in the family context is a crucial and widely studied topic. This summary reviews several recent studies that explore various aspects related to the family environment and its impact on the well-being and rights of children in the country. The problem addressed by the researchers focuses on identifying how factors such as domestic violence, access to health services, the influence of the family environment and public policies directly affect the rights and comprehensive development of Ecuadorian children and adolescents. To address these questions, a qualitative documentary review was carried out. The results of these studies highlight the direct relationship between a healthy family environment and child well-being, underscoring the importance of policies that strengthen protection against domestic violence and promote equitable access to essential services, the main ones being health and education. Furthermore, the positive influence of protective factors in the family environment, such as emotional support and family cohesion, is evident in guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents. Likewise, they suggest the importance of continuing to research and improve interventions aimed at promote the comprehensive development of children, thus guaranteeing full compliance with their rights in line with the principles established by LOPINNA and other international regulatory frameworks.
